Humane Society of Livingston County
The Humane Society of Livingston County, through education and caring, will work toward eliminating abuse and over-population of animals and aid in the prevention of their suffering within our community.
Reminder: Under NYS law, any dog left outside during extreme weather must be provided with adequate shelter from the elements.
Adoption
The HSLC has five requirements that an adopter must agree to in order to adopt one of our animals:
- Indoor Only
- No declawing
- Spay/Neuter of a kitten at 5 months of age
- Contact the HSLC if you are no longer able to care for the animal
- Make arrangements for the care and placement of animal in the event of adopter's death
A great source for dog adoption is the Livingston County Dog Control. You can reach them at 585-243-6740 or on their website.
